Gardaí request that footage of Ongar stabbing is not shared on social media

Gardaí have called on social media users to refrain from sharing footage of the fatal stabbing of Aaron Keating, as they continue to investigate the tragic incident in Ongar.

Officers continue to question a teenager who yesterday handed himself into Gardai, accompanied by a member of his family. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Gardaí have also revealed that a post-mortem has been conducted on Mr Keating, who was tragically killed on the main street in Ongar on Tuesday evening, June 13. The results of the post-mortem will not be released for operational purposes.
