Two people have been arrested in connection to the seizure of over €70,000 worth of cannabis from an underground bunker in Galway.
The discovery was made on Tuesday by gardai in Dunmore as part of Operation Tara, an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy.
Cannabis plants worth €52,800 and cannabis herb valued at €11,500 were seized.

A further search carried out in Galway City later in the evening uncovered a further €6,000 worth of cannabis herb.
A woman aged in her 60s and man aged in his 30s were both arrested at the scene.
They are currently being detained at Galway Divisional Headquarters under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
The drugs will now be sent for further analysis.
A Garda spokesperson said: "This seizure forms part of Operation Tara; an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy, which was launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on 2nd July 2021. The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs."
This comes after gardai seized €1.5 million worth of cannabis and cocaine on Saturday during raids in Kildare and Meath.
Gardai stopped a vehicle on the M1 Motorway in Meath during which they found €39,750 in cash.
The discovery prompted several searches of properties in the Newbridge Co Kildare.
These follow-up raids revealed €420,000 cocaine and €1.12 million cannabis which were seized along with suspected mixing agents and other drug paraphernalia.
