Gardai probing alleged assault in Donegal find a body after days of searching

Garda Donegal Coast Guard Gardai Letterkenny University Hospital

Gardaí investigating an alleged serious assault in the Sliabh Liag area of southwest Donegal have found a body.

It is understood the body was retrieved from the the water at Sliabh Liag cliffs with the assistance of the Coast Guard early this morning.

The body has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
