A post-mortem is currently underway, “the results of which will determine the course of Garda investigation,” a spokesperson confirmed.
It is understood that the deceased may have frequented a residence on Windmill Street in Limerick, where Gardai say they had attended an incident earlier on Tuesday.
The spokesperson said: “Gardaí at Henry Street are investigating all the circumstances of the discovery of a woman with serious injuries at a residence in County Limerick on Tuesday, 19th July, 2022.
