Gardai have issued an update as their investigation into a shooting outside the car park by an Lidl shop on St Margaret's Road in Finglas continues.
Officers and emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 5:00 pm, where a man in his 20s was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound.
He was immediately taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were understood to be non-life-threatening.

Later that evening, gardai confirmed that two men, both in their 20s had been arrested in relation to the incident.
They were detained for questioning under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Finglas Garda station.
However, this evening investigating gardai confirmed that one man has been released without charge as a file is prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The second man currently remains in Garda custody in Finglas Garda station detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
Investigations are ongoing and gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly keen for anyone with camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this available to investigating Gardaí.

In an update issued this evening, a spokesperson from An Garda Siochana said: “Gardaí in Finglas investigating the shooting incident that occurred on St. Margaret's Road, Finglas on Friday afternoon 13th May, 2022 have released one man without charge.
“One man (20s) was released without charge this evening and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
“The second man (20s) remains in Garda custody in Finglas Garda station detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
“Investigations ongoing.”
