A Garda investigation is under way after a body was found in a Dublin canal on Thursday.
A man's body was discovered in the Grand Canal at Portobello, Dublin 2 on Thursday afternoon.
His body was taken to Dublin City Morgue where a post mortem will take place.
Gardai say the results of this exam will determine the course of their probe.
They are said to be investigating "all circumstances" surrounding the man's death.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardai are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a man in the Grand Canal at Portobello, Dublin 2 yesterday afternoon, March 3, 2022.
"The body has been removed to Dublin City Morgue where a post mortem will take place.
"The results of the post mortem will determine the course of this investigation."
