Gardaí are renewing their appeal to find a driver involved in the fatal hit and run that led to the death of 20-year-old Fintan Traynor in Co Monaghan 12 years ago.

Monday, June 26, marks the 12th anniversary of the death of the Monaghan youngster who was killed after being struck by a car while walking home from a night out in Castleblayney in the early hours of Sunday, June 26, 2011.

The accident happened at Lemgare, Clontibret, Co Monaghan on a road linking the villages of Clontibret and Annyalla with Derrynoose and Keady in Co Armagh.
