Gardai arrested a driver for being in possession of a weapon after pulling them over for speeding in Dublin on Saturday.
Officers in Ballymun stopped the motorist after spotting them travelling above the speed limit.
They then tested positive for drugs and were found to be in possession of an expandable baton.
A garda spokesperson said: "Last night in Ballymun, Santry Roads Policing stopped a vehicle for speeding The driver tested positive for drugs and was found in possession of an expandable baton. This is an offence under the Firearms & Offensive Weapons Act He has since been charged. Investigations ongoing."
