A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Co Meath.
The collision happened in the Cruicerath area of Donore at around 8.30pm on Wednesday.
A man in his 40s was treated for his injuries at the scene of the crash, but was later pronounced dead.
His body was brought to the mortuary at Navan Hospital where a post mortem is due to take place in the coming days.
The man was the only occupant of the vehicle and no other injuries were reported.
Gardai have said that the road where the incident occurred remains closed on Thursday morning.
Forensic Collision Investigators are currently carrying out a technical examination of the scene and local diversions are in place.
And officers are now asking for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward with any information.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision at Cruicerath, Donore, Co Meath yesterday, Wednesday, 26th January 2022.
"Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to them.
