Gardai chase down car travelling at 220km/h on motorway after it overtook them in Co Cork

A driver who overtook gardai while travelling at 220km/h has been arrested by officers this afternoon in Cork.

Officers were overtaken by the motorist blitzing the speed limit on the M8 near Fermoy.

The unmarked garda car quickly tore after the reckless driver before pulling them over and making the arrest.
