A Garda investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in Co Sligo on Monday night in unexplained circumstances.
Members of An Garda Siochana and emergency medical services attended a residence in Sligo town between the hours of 8pm and 9pm last night, when they discovered the remains of a female.
As of this morning, Tuesday May 2, the body remains at the residence as a forensic examination takes place.
