Gardai have been out in force in recent days, on patrol and carrying out checkpoints across Ireland.
Officers are on the lookout for law breakers, while enforcing intoxicated driving offences, drug detections, speed offences and other road traffic legislation.
On Tuesday night, Clare Roads Policing Unit were on patrol when they came across a van “driving erratically”.

Things went from bad to worse for the driver after gardai pulled them over and subsequently arrested them and seized the vehicle.
The driver failed a roadside drugs test, while the van had no insurance, tax or certificate of roadworthiness.
Gardai shared details of the incident on their Twitter account, leading people to praise them for their “great work”.
It comes as officers carried out dozens of Mandatory Intoxicant Testing (MIT) checkpoints over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
In Co Louth alone, more than 400 drivers were tested for alcohol and drugs resulting in 10 arrests for driving under the influence.
In Co Leitrim, some 50 motorists were tested with four arrests.
Meanwhile, gardai continue to carry out speed checks on roads across the country.
On the N7 motorway on Wednesday, a learner driver was caught doing 133km/h in a 100km/h zone. Gardai also found out that the tax on the vehicle had expired by 851 days.
