Vivek Ramaswamy recently conducted an interview with a garbage man in North Carolina following a day of collecting trash together. The conversation stemmed from controversial remarks made by President Biden that seemed to belittle supporters of former President Trump.
The man, identified as Leo, expressed feeling disrespected during the rally with Ramaswamy. When asked about what leaders could do to improve the lives of trash workers, Leo emphasized the importance of keeping prices down.
Biden faced backlash for comments made during a virtual campaign call for Vice President Kamala Harris with Voto Latino. He took a jab at Trump's weekend rally at Madison Square Garden, which gained attention due to insult comedian Tony Hinchiffe making jokes that mocked various ethnic groups, including a reference to Puerto Rico as a 'floating island of garbage.'
'The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,' Biden remarked. 'His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American.'
On the same day in Wisconsin, Ramaswamy, mirroring Trump's actions, donned a reflective vest and joined Leo in a garbage truck to empty trash bins before proceeding to campaign for Trump.
