We’re in the thick of it right now -- it's back-to-school shopping time.
Retail stores are front and center for school shopping lists. Some retailers even have area school lists available for parents in case they forgot their lists at home.
Retailers have your back when it comes to getting all of those odds and ends and now The Gap’s (GPS) -) Old Navy is taking a page out of Target’s playbook for those parents.
Back-to-School Guarantee From Old Navy
The San Francisco-based Old Navy claims it is up for the challenge.
Old Navy is now extending its clothing warranty on school uniforms. “At Old Navy, we understand the demands of a busy school year. That's why our uniform products are made using durable fabrics that are proven to be built to last,” said Old Navy’s head of design & product development Sarah Holme.
“We go the extra mile to ensure our uniforms can withstand the test of time, providing long-lasting value for both parents and students.”
The return policy for Old Navy's uniforms is good for apparel purchased between July 7 and Sept. 30, 2023, and goods can be returned within a year from the purchase date. The warranty is the same for goods purchased online or in stores.
While the returns can be made from goods purchased online or in stores, the return itself must be done in stores and customers must have the original purchase receipt.
Business as Usual for Target
Target (TGT) -) has the same warranty on its clothing line Cat & Jack and that has more than just school uniforms. The warranty, in place for years, proves once again how Target is ahead of the game when it comes to retailers.
Old Navy is only offering their warranty on its school uniforms, and they need to be purchased by Sept. 30 to be included in the warranty.
Target's Cat & Jack clothing warranty is year round and includes any clothing -- jeans, pants, shirts, and more. As long as the shopper has the original receipt from the purchase, it can be returned at any Target location.
This return policy is good for all Target owned brands, not just Cat & Jack. Other Target brands include Stars Above, Universal Thread, JoyLab, Xhilaration, Knox Rose, A New Day, All in Motion, and Art Class.
