Ganpati Bappa Morya: 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival begins today

Mumbai: The ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival started in Maharashtra and rest of the country on Wednesday with chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’.

The idols of Lord Ganesh, the god of prosperity and wisdom and a slayer of obstacles (`vighna-harta'), are being installed in homes across the state with pomp and gaiety.
