Gangs in Haiti launched a series of attacks in several neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince, resulting in the burning of homes and intense gunfire exchanges with police that lasted for hours. The violence unfolded early Thursday, marking one of the most significant assaults since the appointment of Haiti's new prime minister.
The attacks commenced late Wednesday in areas such as Solino and Delmas 18, 20, and 24, situated southwest of the main international airport, which has been closed for nearly two months due to persistent gang violence.
