A man and a teenage girl were attacked by a gang of teenagers outside Tesco.
Merseyside Police were called to the supermarket on Bellerophon Way, Haydock at around 7.15pm on Saturday, November 19 to reports of an an assault on a man and a girl. Witnesses at the scene described a group of girls attacking another girl, before being "dragged off" by a bystander.
No serious injuries were reported to police and an investigation is now underway. A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following reports that a teenage girl and a man were assaulted in Haydock on Saturday evening (November 19)

"Just after 7.15pm officers received a report that a teenage girl and a man had been assaulted by a group of teenagers outside a store on Bellerophon Way.
"Officers attended and spoke with the victims at the scene. No injuries were reported to police. An investigation is underway and CCTV enquiries are ongoing in the area.
