Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted on a canal path in Clydebank.
The incident happened around four minutes after midnight on Monday when two men sustained serious injuries after they were approached by a group of men near Beardmore Place.
One man, aged 25, was taken to Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital where his condition is described as stable. The other man, aged 27, was admitted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and is also a stable condition.

Police probing the incident urge any witnesses, those with information about those responsible or drivers with dash-cam footage to come forward. Information can be passed on anonymously.
Detective Sergeant Kirsteen McDaid said: “Two men were seriously injured and we are asking anyone who may have seen what happened or has information about those responsible to get in touch. In addition, anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have dash-cam that could help with our enquiries is asked to let us know.
