Game4Ukraine 2023: Date, venue, lineups, how to watch and ticket information

Stamford Bridge will host a charity football match in August to raise funds to help rebuild the facilities and infrastructure of Ukraine.

The fixture will take place on Saturday, August 5, a week before the 2023/24 Premier League season starts. A number of big names have already been announced to be involved, including past and present Ukrainian footballers.

The two teams will be split as 'Team Yellow' and 'Team Blue' - the colours of the Ukraine flag - with Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko captaining the yellow team and former Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko leading the blue side.

Alongside the game of football, Game4Ukraine will provide pitch-side interviews, 'surprise' commentators and celebrity VAR throughout the showcase. The game will be televised in the United Kingdom and broadcast across the globe. No exact TV channel has been assigned to the event, though, just yet.

All proceedings raised by the Game4Ukraine game, through ticket sales, sponsorship and merchandise, will go towards rebuilding the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky Lyceum in Chernihiv Oblast, a school destroyed by Russian missiles. You can donate, here.

The line-ups for each team are as followed:

Team Yellow: Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jens Lehmann, Joleon Lescott, Patrik Berger, Per Mertesacker, Robert Pires, John Arne Riise, Robbie Keane, Antonio Valencia, Patrick Vieira, Wes Morgan, Jack Wilshere, Yevhen Levchenko, Gerard Pique, Edgar Davids, Bacary Sagna. Managed by Arsene Wenger.

Team Blue: Andriy Shevchenko, Michael Essien, Ricardo Carvalho, Luca Toni, Dida, Massimo Oddo, Gianfranco Zola, Carlo Cudicini, Claude Makelele, William Gallas, Samuel Eto'o, Mykhailo Mudryk, Shola Arveladze, Clarence Seedorf, Fabio Carvalho. Managed by Emma Hayes.

For supporters who are keen to watch the number of stars in action or want to contribute to the cause, tickets are now available to be purchased, here.
