Game of Thrones actor left stunned after discovering his mother is on The Traitors

Game of Thrones actor Kerr Logan has revealed his mother is one of the new contestants on The Traitors.

The hit BBC game show returned on Wednesday with Claudia Winkleman at the helm for a second instalment.

Among this year’s contestants vying for the £250,000 prize include an insurance broker, a former Deal Or No Deal contestant and a clairvoyant, who is hoping to see if they can detect the traitors among the faithfuls.

However, there is one contestant, retired teacher Diane, who caught the attention of viewers after they successfully detect a Traitor from the offset.

The former educator watched Harry closely throughout the episode after seeing him react to host Claudia Winkleman patting his back, alerting him to his position.

She continued to watch him like a hawk throughout the episode and soon her eagle-eyed behaviour spawned many hilarious posts on social media.

Shortly after winning over viewers with her observant behaviour, Diane’s showbiz connection emerged when Logan, whose credits include Alias Grace, Strike and London Irish, announced she was his mother online.

Logan played Mathos Seaworth, the son of Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), in the HBO drama.

In a now viral post, the actor wrote on X/Twitter: “My mother is on The Traitors. My mother is on The Traitors. My mother is on The Traitors. She’s bonkers. I’m scared.”

According to Logan, he only learned his mother was involved in the show after the contestants were revealed by the BBC on Tuesday.

He wrote at the time: “I’m not joking….. a family member of mine is in this photo and I’ve only just found out.”

Prior to her appearance in the series, Diane said she applied for The Traitors to prove her kids wrong after they “said I could never do something like this”.

She told the BBC she doesn’t have a game plan, but hopes her sense of humour and physical fitness will help her out along the way.
