Gelder's husband, Ben Daniels, revealed that the actor had been diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December. In a heartfelt online post, Daniels shared the devastating news of Gelder's passing, highlighting their enduring partnership of over 30 years and praising Gelder's kindness, generosity, and loving spirit.
