Many of us enjoy a cheeky McDonald's breakfast every now and then - including a hash brown. But an online foodie has shared a trick that will, apparently, take your potato-based side "up a level".
YouTube channel Mashed recently turned its attention to the food giant's morning staple as part of its food tips and secrets. The trick is to ask for 'well done' when you order, either in person or through the self-service machines.
The channel said it was once an industry secret, but nowadays anyone can do it. The result will be the crispiest hash browns imaginable, reports the Mirror.
In the video, Mashed explained: "You can take your hash browns up a level when you order with this clever hack that takes advantage of one of the big selling points for eating at McDonald's, namely their industrial fryers.
"It used to be an industry secret, but you can order your hash browns 'well-done'. Just ask for 'well-done' when you place your order and you'll get a game-changing crispiness that you never knew you needed."
