A much-loved music festival which takes place in Galway has been cancelled due to what organisers have said are "unforeseen circumstances".
The upcoming country music concert has been postponed until later on in the year as a result of the circumstances, with organisers issuing a heartfelt apology to those who were set to attend.
Scheduled to take place in the Ballinderreen Community Centre next week, the concert was due to feature some well-known country and western stars such as Nashville legend Jim Rooney and popular local musicians such as Seán Keane, Cork’s Mick Daly and Kinvara’s top singer/songwriter, Paul Mulligan.

The event was initially planned to take place on Friday, February 24, however, organisers have confirmed that it will now be postponed until Autumn of this year.
No reason was given for the postponement other than “unforeseen circumstances” with organisers stressing that those who bought tickets would be refunded.
In a post on Facebook, organisers explained: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the concert on Friday 24 February with Jim Rooney, Seán Keane, Mick Daly and Paul Mulligan is postponed until the Autumn.
"Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Pre Booked tickets will be fully refunded."
