Galloway Horse Club members have qualified for the British Riding Club National Championships in September. Two dressage teams competed for the qualifiers at Morris Equestrian near Kilmarnock on July 9 when the Senior Prelim team of Lynn McConnell, Fiona Blandford and Sue Forrest were sixth and the Senior Open team of Frances Ferguson, Katie Miodonski, Lindsey Birch and Heather Conn won and qualified for the National Championships.

Lindsey Birch won her Medium test qualifying her as an individual.

A team from the club also took part in the 80cm showjumping event where Kim Derby, Fiona Blandford and Heather Conn were runners-up, just missing out on qualifying.

Heather Conn won the 85cm style jumping, qualifying her as an individual.

The club would like to thank team manager Maili Mackenzie for organising the teams.
