A Galloway man has started his 460 mile walk across Scotland for two charities this week.
Iain Munro’s trek from the Mull of Galloway began yesterday morning and he is hoping to hit John O’ Groats at the start of next month.
The instructor at Galloway Activity Centre is raising funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance and Jeffrey’s Bike Journey and will carry his own tent and supplies along the way.
Iain aims to complete the journey within 25 days because it takes 25 minutes for the air ambulance to reach around 90 per cent of Scotland.
Jeffrey’s Bike Journey is an organisation of motorbike enthusiasts set up to raise awareness and funds for a five year old boy diagnosed with a Battens degenerative condition in 2021.
Iain hopes to be joined by fellow bikers and supporters of Jeffrey’s Bike Journey along the way.
Iain’s daily routes are available on the Facebook Group MOG2JOG2022.
He would be very willing if anyone or his supporters wanted to keep him company by joining him on part or all of his daily stages of his challenge.
His progress can also be followed on the MOG2JOG Facebook group: MOG2JOG and to donate to the fundraiser please go to JustGiving and search MOG2JOG.
