Any Tyrone versus Kerry battle is always intriguing, but even more so when there’s an All-Ireland title at stake.
Tyrone and Ulster champions Galbally have impressed in their county and provincial victories to date. Yet, their sternest test will be Rathmore in Sunday’s All-Ireland Intermediate final.
Kerry teams have an incredible record at this grade with six titles - double that of Tyrone’s tally with Moy (2018) and Cookstown (2010 and 2013) going all the way to All-Ireland glory in the Intermediate Championship.
Rathmore, who finished fifth in Division One in the Kerry Senior League last season, are strong favourites to collect a seventh Intermediate All-Ireland crown for the Kingdom.
However, Galbally have already proven their resilience this season. After narrow victories over Killeeshil and Edendork in the Tyrone Championship, they seemed to find another gear against Glenullin, Dungloe and Corduff to clinch the Ulster title.
A stunning first half hat-trick from Ronan Nugent then helped them to a 4-4 to 1-9 win over Dunmore of Galway in last weekend’s All–Ireland semi-final in Mullingar.
Paddy Crozier’s men are now just one more win away from All-Ireland success. Here's more info on Sunday’s AIB All-lreland Club Intermediate Football Championship Final and how to watch it…
