Galatasaray reportedly set sights on Leeds United attacker

Galatasaray have reportedly earmarked Leeds United attacker Rodrigo Moreno as a potential alternative to Cagliari’s Joao Pedro. That is according to Turkish outlet Takvim, who claim that Galatasaray had reached an agreement with the Italian side for Pedro, but the player’s agent has requested a higher ‘commission’, which has put the deal in doubt.

They say Galatasaray could instead turn their attention towards a deal for Rodrigo and that negotiations have already started between the two clubs. Like Pedro, the 31-year-old is capable of playing in various positions across the front, which fits the profile the Turkish side are looking for.

Rodrigo is currently Leeds’ record signing but has struggled to reach the expectations set of him following his £27 million move from Valencia in 2020. He has scored 13 goals in 61 appearances for the Whites and still has two years remaining on his deal.
