Gaffar Chowdhury, lyricist of Bangladesh's revolutionary language movement song, dies at 88

Lyricist of Bangladesh's revolutionary language movement song, Gaffar Chowdhury, died in London on May 19, 2022 at the age of 88. He was also known as a strong voice of pro-liberation, pro-Bangabandhu and liberal values, freedom fighter, journalist and columnist.

Chowdhury wrote the lyrics to historical revolutionary song "Amar Bhaier Rokte Rangano Ekushey February - Ami Ki bhulite Pari" - a tribute to the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement.
