Melbourne Renegades stand-in captain Aaron Finch has won the flip and sent the Hobart Hurricanes in to bat in their BBL clash.
Ben McDermott will open with Caleb Jewell for the visitors on Saturday at Marvel Stadium, where the former has terrorised the Renegades in the past.
McDermott hit a career-high 127 from 65 balls at the venue last season, with the blistering innings standing as the fourth-highest individual score in competition history.
The Hurricanes (3-4) would love more of the same as they seek to square their season record, following a heartbreaking last-start loss to the Adelaide Strikers.
They have made one change to their side, with Wil Parker replacing Mitchell Owen.
The Renegades (4-4) are coming off a big derby win over the Melbourne Stars and will have Marcus Harris return at the top of the batting order.
Harris will make his first BBL appearance of the season after being released from Australia's Test squad.
He slots into the role vacated by injured Renegades batter Shaun Marsh, who has a hamstring strain.
Marsh faces a race against time to be fit for the BBL finals, if the Renegades qualify.
