Gabriel Magalhaes injury blow gives Tottenham huge Champions League boost over Arsenal

The defeat for Arsenal in the north London derby went from bad to worse for Mikel Arteta. Gabriel Magalhaes was substituted in the second half of the against Tottenham after appearing to damage his hamstring. The Brazilian fell to the floor and clutched his upper leg as Arsenal fans dreaded the worst ahead of their two final fixtures.

Rob Holding was sent off earlier in the match, meaning that Arsenal finished the game with no central defenders on the pitch. Ben White was not introduced after missing the last two matches with injury.

Arsenal will travel to Newcastle on Monday night without Holding or Gabriel to choose from if the Brazilian's injury is deemed serious.
