Gabriel Magalhaes Arsenal celebration vs West Ham sends Edu major hint amid transfer concern

Gabriel Magalhaes gave Arsenal fans a suggestion that he is planning to stay at the club in the Gunners’ match against West Ham amid interest from clubs around Europe.

The Brazilian celebrated his goal by pointing to the badge as he ran over to the Arsenal fans. His crucial goal put Arsenal 2-1 ahead during a time West Ham were finding their feet in the match.

Gabriel has put in some excellent displays this season and has been a major factor in the Gunners’ race for top four. His goal against West Ham could be proven as a key moment towards the end of the season.

Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo recently reported that Barcelona had ended their interest in Gabriel after being priced out for the defender. This came before the reports from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio that Juventus are also seriously considering an offer for the player

The Brazilian is certainly the leader amongst the defence and is always seen orchestrating the backline whenever it is time to defend an opposition set-piece. His influence since coming into the club has been clear and when he isn’t playing, Arsenal’s chances of securing a win or a clean sheet decline by a huge margin.

the £23 million transfer of the Brazilian who has arguably been Arteta’s most important player this season is proving to be an absolute steal. If the top four is achieved, it will partly be thanks to his defensive heroics.

Gabriel and recent summer signing Ben White are developing an excellent partnership at the heart of the defence. The two players have created a foundation for Arteta’s rebuilding process that further proves Edu is getting his recruitment policy spot on.

White was ruled of the match against West Ham due to a hamstring problem, but Gabriel still led the defence excellently alongside Rob Holding. Not only did the win boos the Gunners’ chances of a top-four finish, but it also gave Arsenal fans reassurance about Gabriel’s future at the club.
