Gabriel Jesus posts encouraging injury update as Arsenal star continues rehabilitation

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has posted an encouraging update on his recovery from injury on his social media.

The Brazilian has missed the Gunners' first three games back since the resumption of Premier League football after suffering medial ligament damage during his participation at the World Cup. Jesus, who started only one game in Qatar, was forced off after 64 minutes in the defeat to Cameroon and has subsequently undergone surgery.

Since returning to London, the 25-year-old has posted a number of updates and signs of positive progress in his rehabilitation. Following two short Instagram stories, Jesus posted a picture hinting that he was no longer on crutches and captioning the post 'Freedom Sang', which suggests he no longer requires support.

During Jesus' absence, Mikel Arteta's side continued their fine form to stretch their lead at the top of the table. Arsenal have won two of their three fixtures since the return of domestic football and are eight points clear of Manchester City - who play this evening (Thursday) at Chelsea.

Now, the striker has posted another encouraging update on his recovery that offers a more insightful view on his recovery. A 1 minute 36 seconds video was posted on his personal Twitter page at 10:53pm last night with the caption 'Evolving everyday' and hashtags #alômãe, #gratidão, #doperi and #progress.

The video includes various shots of Jesus stepping up the intensity of his recovery with boxing, stretches, body resistance training and even a clip of the Gunners striker using the leg extension machine on his injured knee with no leg brace.

Unlike the previous posts, this video offers more information on Jesus' recovery at London Colney. Reports have suggested that he could be out for up to four months and it seems Arsenal are covering all bases with his gradual return.
