Gabriel Jesus agents ‘travelling to London’ to push through Arsenal transfer and more Man City rumours

The representatives of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus are reportedly poised to jet into London to push through a move to Arsenal.

Jesus is expected to leave City this summer following the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Jesus hit good form towards the back end of last season, which saw him net important goals against Liverpool and Real Madrid as well as four against Watford.

But the player wishes to experience regular game time - something that is less likely following the acquisition of Haaland. Jesus knows Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta well from his time as Pep Guardiola’s No.2 at the Etihad.

And he is reportedly close to a reunion, with Goal claiming his agents are travelling to London to speed up the transition. Despite just 12 months being left on his contract, City could receive as much as £50m for Jesus.

Meanwhile, AS reports that City have placed a £70m price tag on Bernardo Silva. The playmaker has been linked with a switch to Barcelona this summer.

A move to the Nou Camp could trigger Frenkie de Jong’s exit to Manchester United - but the Premier League champions’ price tag is said to be far too high for the Spanish giants. Barcelona want to reduce the asking price, but if City fail to budge, then a deal is very unlikely to materialise.
