GAA fans were loving Marty Morrissey's rousing opening monologue ahead of the All-Ireland hurling final between Limerick and Kilkenny at Croke Park.
RTE commentator Morrissey is known to have a way with words and he used a lot of them as the players came out on the pitch for the hurling decider.
Imploring fans to slap on Factor 75 sunscreen, among other things, Morrissey's speech was a whirlwind set up to what promised to be a thrilling clash at GAA HQ.

And supporters were keen to praise Morrissey on social media.
One person wrote: "Looked over at my Mum after Marty Morrissey’s opening monologue as Kilkenny and Limerick paraded around Croke Park and both of us were crying. Sport and life. Powerful. #HurlingFinal"
Another said: "Marty Morrissey is an Irish commentary poet."
Someone commented: "Marty Morrissey making me cry and the game hasn't even started!"
