'Future is bright' say Newcastle United supporters after win over Norwich City

Newcastle United's remarkable ascent up the Premier League table continued with a 3-0 win at Norwich City. The Toon ended their Carrow Road hoodoo in spectacular fashion to move up to ninth place after four consecutive wins.

Their run of form since the turn of the year has been nothing short of spectacular - only bettered by Jurgen Klopp's title challenging Liverpool. The Magpies have won ten of their last 14 games and it's left supporters in dreamland.

Some members of the black and white faithful think they may be able to sneak into the European places if they continue the way they're playing, whilst others are happy Newcastle are competitive once more. Either way, Eddie Howe has done a stellar job and the Magpies have a great platform to build on.

Safety is all but assured ahead of a run of tough games against Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. If Newcastle manage to pick up points in any of those three games, they may still finish in the top-half by the time the curtain falls on the campaign.

Here's what Newcastle United supporters had to say on social media:

@davidhorsefield said: "9th! Unbelievable when you consider where we were. 9th!"

@singram99 tweeted: "We will always be told that it was the money, but to have turned a group of unfit, disorganised players into Newcastle UNITED has been a phenomenal job."

@RossEarnshaw said: "It’s a big if but Europe might be open via the back door now."

@septimus69 said: "So "that fella who got Bournemouth relegated" has got Newcastle to 43 points with 5 games to go. Outstanding."
