Fans scrambling to nab tickets to see Madonna in London have been left furious after the price for certain packages exceeded £1,000 per person. The 'Queen of Pop' has announced a new world tour, and will be performing a one-time London show at the O2 Arena on October 14.
O2 Priority pre-sale and Legacy Member tickets went on sale on Wednesday morning (January 18), ahead of a LiveNation pre-sale on Thursday. All tickets will then go on sale to the public on Friday (January 20).
At the start of the 9am pre-sale, prices were seen to start at £47.55 for standard tickets, with prices rising up to an eye watering £1,306.75 for chosen VIP packages. As the morning went on, the remaining available ticket prices were ranging from £93 up to £436.85 each as the more affordable ones were quickly nabbed.

There were other packages available, including 'Legacy Members VIP Package' priced at £729.75 each and the 'Immaculate VIP Package' at £1,307.75 each.
The Material Girl songstress is only performing one UK date of her 'The Celebration Tour', in honour of her upcoming 40 year anniversary, highlighting some her greatest hits from 'Like A Virgin' to 'Material Girl'. Other dates nearby include Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm and Amsterdam.
However fans quickly took to social media to discuss the price of the tickets, after the cheaper options quickly sold out to those eligible for pre-sale bookings. Others were astonished by the price of the booking fees for some of the more expensive options, with one example showing a fee of £23.10 per person added to the £200 tickets.
@cookaneggonu tweeted: "damn madonna has expensive tickets what the hell" as @DigDougXD tweeted: "Madonna's tickets are just too expensive."
@ukheather added: "I have wanted to see Madonna live for over 30 years. Missed my chance as a kid when she came to town. Now it is so expensive too. I really want to go though."
@Iolryan posted: "I expected Madonna to be expensive but I just can’t justify £432 for a standing ticket… Or even £276 for a Floor Seat."
However others took a different view, explaining that prices in their hundreds is to be expected at big arena shows. @hrblackness posted: "Oh it’s started! People moaning about the price of Madonna tickets! If you don’t want to pay for the expensive tickets don’t! Tickets are expensive for many artist theses days. The Weekends rear pitch at London stadium are over £400."
As @juancarlito88 wrote: "People complaining about Madonna's high ticket prices are literally 3 years behind. When she did the Palladium in 2020 the prices were super crazy—and that was the before times."
