Emergency services were called to fire in Leeds after residents witnessed an "arson" attack on a former animal rescue centre.
On Tuesday (March 29) around 2.06pm four fire engines were called to Ninevah Road in Allerton Bywater following reports of a fire. Residents claim they saw a group of "troubled teens" hanging out in the area "as usual", not long before the building was engulfed in flames.
The entire roof of the former Ponderosa Dog and Cat Rescue was seen on fire, with a thick smoke cloud prevailing across the area. The rescue centre moved a number of years ago so it is believed that no individuals or animals were in the building at the time of the fire.
