Further shake up to Leeds United backroom staff as goalkeeping coach departs

Leeds United have continued their revamp of their backroom staff with Alessandro Barcherini announcing his departure on social media. The goalkeeping coach has spent the last three years at Elland Road and was part of the Whites' backroom set-up that won promotion back to the Premier League.

Rene Maric and Michael Skubala's both came through the door at Elland Road last week, as Jesse Marsch welcomed the two esteemed coaches to his backroom staff. As one door opens, another closes and Barcherini is the latest member of Marcelo Bielsa's coaching staff to leave the club.

Barcherini tweeted: "My time at this incredible football club has come to an end. In the last three years I've experienced without a doubt the greatest moments of my time in football so far.

"I'm so proud to have been a part of promotion back to the Premier League and everything that followed. Helping goalkeepers through all the age groups and managing their transition into the first team was a dream come true.

"I hope I have made a positive impact and shown that experience isn't always necessarily the key ingredient in a goalkeeper. Working with some of the best people on and off the pitch and representing the club has been such a privilege.

"I'm truly grateful for every second. Thank you to everyone who has shown me love on this journey, through good and bad times, I appreciate you all so much. All Leeds aren't we."
