The mum of a 12-year-old boy is refusing to send him back to school after claiming an older pupil gave him cannabis.
Speaking anonymously, the mum today claimed her son came home with what she believes to be a joint, which he told her had been given to him at Prescot School. She said he would "never be attending" the school again, after she withdrew him from classes this week.
School bosses said they were working with the family, but that there were "very clear differences" between the mum's evidence and what they understood to be the situation.
