A furious father claims that a neighbour ate part of his family's KFC order - after it was delivered to the wrong property.
Jason Buckton, 47, was irritated after discovering that three boneless pieces were missing from his £27 order through Uber Eats.
The dad accused the courier service of "messing up" his family's dinner, while questioning why anyone would eat a takeaway that they clearly hadn't ordered, Wales Online reports.
After confronting the driver over the missing order, the hungry family eventually received their food, only to discover that part of the feast had already been scoffed.
The raging dad-of-two, from Stockton-on-Tees, said: "The app pinged up, saying give the driver a minute to drop your order off. But then another message came up saying 'grab your order as it's at the door' but there was nothing there."
After three attempts to speak to the driver he discovered it had been dropped off at the wrong address.
Jason said the driver went back to the address where he had left the food and brought it back.
He added: "The driver then said they'd opened the package so I should make sure everything was there. I opened it and they'd ate some of the food. I got in touch with KFC and they'd said that because I'd used Uber Eats there was nothing they could do. But (Uber Eats) doesn't actually give you a number to phone them up."
He flagged it on the firm's app, and was refunded some time later.
An Uber Eats spokesperson said: "We are very sorry to hear about this drop-off error, and can confirm that the customer has been refunded in full."
Jason is baffled as to why anybody would take food that clearly didn't belong to them.
"If it had come to my house, I'd have said 'excuse me, I haven't ordered that," he claimed.
