A funeral service is currently taking place in Tehran to honor the life of Abbas Nilforoushan, a high-ranking Iranian military figure who was killed in an Israeli drone strike last month. Nilforoushan, a senior commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), lost his life in an attack that also claimed the life of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.
The funeral procession in Tehran drew hundreds of mourners, many of whom carried photos of Nilforoushan and flags representing Iran, Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Palestine. The atmosphere was somber as a girls' choir performed in tribute to the deceased, followed by speeches and eulogies that included anti-American and anti-Israeli sentiments.
