Tottenham Hotspur have endured a fairly dire start to 2023.
The Lilywhites lost 2-0 against Aston Villa on New Year's Day before local rivals Arsenal inflicted the same scoreline upon Antonio Conte's side last weekend during a fiery North London Derby in N17. Spurs now sit fifth in the current Premier League standings, a whopping 14 points behind the Gunners, who lead second-placed Manchester City by eight points.
Next up for Conte's men is a trip to the Etihad Stadium to take on City, who they did the double over last season - including a last-gasp Harry Kane winner during the 3-2 win in Manchester. The England captain will be hoping Spurs can produce a similar result on Thursday evening and the north London outfit are boosted by the return to fitness of midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, who has been sidelined since the World Cup.
