Tottenham Hotspur have submitted their Premier League 25-man squad for the second half of the season as Antonio Conte's men look to retain Champions League football. Spurs currently sit fifth in the table after 21 games, three points behind Manchester United in the top four.
There remains plenty of football still to play - 17 to be precise - with further twists and turns to occur at both ends of the table. Following a mixed bag of fortunes in the opening month of 2023 - Spurs lost three of their five league games - the north Londoners will now be hoping to utilise their January business to surpass Erik ten Hag's side and Newcastle in the race for Champions League football.
Pedro Porro and Arnaut Danjuma both arrived on loans until the end of the season, with the former's move having an obligation to buy clause of £39.5million inserted. Former Bournemouth striker Danjuma scored on his debut for Spurs last weekend against Preston, with the club having the option to make the switch permanent for £27million in the summer.

There were also three first team exits at Hotspur way, all coming on deadline day. Perhaps the most surprising one came in Matt Doherty's move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid after his contract in London was mutually terminated. Fellow right-back Djed Spence sealed a temporary switch to French side Rennes in search of first team football whilst Bryan Gil returned to Sevilla until the end of the season.
The three exits allowed no complications in Conte's process of selecting his 25-man squad list , meaning both new arrivals are eligible to feature for the second half of the campaign - starting this weekend against Manchester City. However, midfielder Pape Sarr was not named on the final list.
The Senegalese midfielder was a regular in the Spurs midfield at the start of last month and was one of very few shining lights in the north London defeat to Arsenal. However, due to still being only 20, Sarr can feature without being on the main list due to the exception of Under-21 players.
