President Xi Jinping will hold talks in Moscow later on Monday as part of China’s attempt to craft a political settlement to the more than year-long war in Ukraine, which began after Russia invaded the country in February 2022.
Xi is due to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin at 3pm local time (12:00 GMT).
