ICC Ravichandran Ashwin World Cup Axar Patel India New Delhi ODI World Cup

NEW DELHI: As anticipated, India have officially selected the experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to step in as a replacement for the injured spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel in their 15-member squad for the forthcoming ODI World Cup. This announcement was made by the ICC on Thursday.

India will be aiming to continue the trend of host nations winning the tournament, which started when they themselves emerged victorious in 2011.
