Full S Club 7 Paul Cattermole tribute after singer died aged 46

Tributes have been pouring in to the S Club 7 singer Paul Cattermole after his death at the age of 46 was announced. The news was confirmed by Mr Cattermole's family and S Club 7 on social media on Friday (April 7).

Paying tribute to their friend, a statement on the S Club social media accounts on Friday said: "We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel.

"We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time."

The cause of Mr Cattermole's death is not clear, though S Club 7 and his family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time. The news came shortly after S Club 7 had announced a 25th anniversary tour which would have seen all the members reunited on stage.

Mr Cattermole was found dead in his home in Dorset on Thursday (April 6). Tributes from across the music and entertainment worlds have been pouring in since the news was confirmed.

Mark Read, singer of the long running boy band A1, shared his condolences on Twitter. He said: "No words… so sad to hear about Paul Cattermole. Sending condolences & love to his family & friends."

The Rocky Horror Show, in which Mr Cattermole played roles between 2015 and 2016, released a statement saying: "Today we remember Paul Cattermole , who played the roles of Eddie and Dr. Scott in The Rocky Horror Show between 2015 and 2016. He will always be a part of the Rocky Horror family."

Irish singing duo and previous X Factor contestants, Jedward, commented: "This is devastating. Sending you all love, surrounding you with strength!" In a statement shared with the PA news agency, Mr Cattermole's manager Simon Fuller said: "Paul was a beacon of light for a generation of pop music fans and he will be greatly missed. We're all deeply shocked and saddened by this news."
