Full police statement as man found dead in Leeds home

A man has been found dead at a home in Leeds, police have confirmed.

West Yorkshire Police were called to a home in Tinshill Mount at 9.40am on Thursday where a man had been found with injuries. The force has today (Fri) confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A cordon is understood to remain in place outside the home tonight as investigations continue. A spokesperson for WYP said officers are working to establish the circumstances of the man's death. It is currently being treated as unexplained.

In a statement released today, the force said: "At 9.40am yesterday, police were called to an address in Tinshill Mount, Leeds, where a man had been found with injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A scene remains in place at the address and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of his death, which is currently being treated as unexplained."
