Temperatures are set to rise slightly this Christmas, meaning chances of snow are slim.
With multiple weather warnings for ice and snow dominating the last month's forecast, the week ahead, including Christmas, looks warmer.
The overall forecast for the weekend shows it to be cloudy with rain on Friday, somewhat drier on Saturday and Sunday but still with some rain at times.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "It will be cloudy changing to light rain by lunchtime [on Christmas Eve]. On Christmas day, it will be cloudy changing to sunny intervals in the afternoon."
Boxing Day this year, Monday December 26, will see the return of some sun, although it will still be cold at 4C.
