The full list of winners from this year's local elections in Newark and Sherwood have been confirmed. Voters in the district headed to polls on Thursday (May 4) and the results were announced the following day.
The council was one of two district and borough councils in Nottinghamshire controlled by the Conservatives after the 2019 election, holding 29 seats. However, today's results show that the Conservatives now hold 14 seats, with the Labour Party holding 11 seats.
There are also 10 independent seats in Newark and Sherwood, as well as 3 Liberal Democrats, meaning the Conservatives have lost their majority on the council. Below are all the results from this year's elections in the area.
