Leeds United will travel to Anfield to face Liverpool this weekend desperately aiming to end a wretched run of eight games without a win.
They dropped into the relegation zone after suffering a fourth defeat on the spin against Fulham at Elland Road last Sunday.
There is excruciating pressure on Jesse Marsch following Leeds’s latest malaise, and a trip to Anfield, where Liverpool haven’t lost in 29 league games, comes at arguably the worst possible time for the American.
Here are all the injuries that Liverpool are carrying right now and how quickly they can return for manager Jurgen Klopp…

Possible return date: 29/10/2022
Jordan Henderson – knee
The Liverpool captain limped off with 19 minutes left on the clock in Wednesday’s 3-0 victory over Ajax in Amsterdam. He received a knock to his knee and Klopp will have to wait before making a decision on his fitness.
Klopp said (Oct 28): With Hendo we have to wait a little bit. It’s a knock, he was a bit stiff yesterday. [He] only had treatment yesterday, so we’ll have to see how he will be today. I expect him to be okay to be honest.
Possible return date: 29/10/2022
Joel Matip – calf
Matip has been out of action since sustaining a calf strain in Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month. The defender has returned to training but won’t be available when the Reds welcome Leeds to Anfield this weekend.
Klopp said (Oct 28): “Joel won’t be back, he is training, but only rehab.”

Luis Diaz – knee
Diaz has been ruled out until after the World Cup with a knee injury and Klopp didn’t issue a further update during his latest pre-match press conference.
Potential return date: 26/12/2022
Diogo Jota – calf
The Portugal international is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a calf muscle injury which he sustained in Liverpool’s win over Manchester City just under a fortnight ago. Jota will miss the World Cup but Klopp is still yet to put a timescale on his return, with the forward expected to be out for ‘months’.
Potential return date: Unknown
Arthur Melo – thigh
Arthur is yet to feature for Liverpool in the Premier League since he joined on a season-long loan from Juventus in the summer. His only appearance for the first team was a 13-minute cameo from the bench during Liverpool’s 4-1 defeat against Napoli in September.
The 26-year-old has since been ruled out until 2023 with a thigh injury and was last included in Liverpool’s match day squad as an unused substitute in the 3-3 draw against Brighton earlier this month.
Potential return date: Unknown
